Carrying your name

Carrying your name through languages with me,

Carrying languages with me through your name.

Carrying your blood Within my veins

And carrying your words like open wounds

Carrying my hopes and dreams to validate your struggle

And Carrying your hopes and dreams to validate my struggle

Carrying the reminder of love lost within my hand feeling it with every brush stroke.

Look look it’s your old name,

Look your name again,

Look look

I lost my name

I lost my body

I lost at one point, at many points, my way

Letting go of the things you said but didn’t mean

Letting go of the places I’ve been but didn’t exist

Clinging to the homes I’ve created

The love I’ve experienced

The solitude I’ve embraced

The tears Ive given permission to fall
